Breakfast with Ernie - January 10, 2026 - Jocelyn Cappel

  • Last minute update / assistance needed
  • ~110 people, max  150 people
  • Photobooth, coloring sheets, Ernie

Giveback Gathering - February 13, 2026 - Amanda Pulliam/Erin Henry 

  • Local animal rescue centers
    • Thank you cards for people to foster
    • Coloring page station for cheerful animal pics with positive messages
    • Create dog and cat treat bags
    • Make DIY toys → different for K-2 and 3-5 so they’re age appropriate
    • Towel, blankets, treats donations

Bingo / Auction - Gena Nolan & Ally Crust

  • Silent Auction Donations! Please ask your favorite local businesses to support. (Ally is happy to provide a donation letter!)
    • Ideas: Unwanted holiday gifts, tickets to pro sports teams, gym passes, gift cards, etc.
    • Will be reaching out regarding class gifts, Woerther swag, and special Woerther experiences
  • Bingo
    • DJ set for music bingo “No Grandma’s Bingo”

    • $50 gift certificate raffle donated by 3Mix

  • April 14th - Culvers Dine Out

PTO FUNDS

  • PTO gave 6 new books to the library with a special focus on DEI - books specifically requested by Mrs. Clar.

ACTION ITEMS

  1. Grade level outings - focus on older grades as K and 1st both had events earlier in the year. 
    1. $50-100 available per grade level
    2. Promote on grade level pages
  2. Promo new swag items
    1. Put on website in November
  3. PTO Perks Update (Michelle Gockel)
    1. Rewarded 35 parents so far this year for volunteering with Scooters and Andy’s treat coupons
    2. Breakfast with Ernie tickets incentive for 1st semester volunteers went to Liz Arras
    3. 2nd semester: 
      1. drawings for grade level concerts
      2. 3 $10 gift cards to 3Mix BBQ
      3. 10 $5 gift cards
  4. Staff grants - vote on Emily’s proposed plan (Emily Matson)
    1. $1500 dollars, 6 grants $250 threshold each
    2. Staff will need to meet with Dr. Walz before submitting grant to make ensure it’s appropriate
    3. Grants due to by 2/20/26
  5. Staff Buffet for conferences - Jamie Joy
    1. Ask for more monetary donations vs. food
  6. Open board positions next school year - President, Treasurer(s), Fundraising, Secretary
    1. Per our bylaws, we need a president, secretary, and treasurer to maintain our school’s PTO
    2. Promote PTO members on social media and discuss what we do in our roles
    3. Social - bring a friend to help with recruitment

Dr. Walz Updates

  • Woerther APR “school report card”
  • Scores growth of students
  • Scores stayed steady over the past 3 years
  • 2025 - we reached our target scores with the highest scores with the most amount of growth, reached a score of 91%
